modified modular jack
   Abbreviated MMJ. A six-pin connector developed by Digital Equipment Corporation used to connect serial lines to terminal devices. MMJ jacks have a side-locking tab and so can be distinguished from RJ-11 jacks, which have a center-mounted tab.
